Fox

This was part of my "photorealistic" college course. Painted
when I was a baby of 19 years.
Gouache on paper. Make me an offer.

When I first moved to the states I was intrigued with the whole picket fence thing. This was my first home here and I wanted to capture every stick! Sorry not for sale.

Guache on art board
15"x30"

$1200

I wanted the viewer to really sense the smoke on their clothes as they viewed this painting. The ominous black bags waiting to be burned. I actually got reprimanded by the police for burning on this day.
I didn't use the "..but officer, I am doing a painting" excuse. Maybe I should have.

Originally uploaded by Philg. I am a great fan of M.C. Escher and his playfulness.
I wanted to do a painting that captured many light sources in a very subtle way. In this painting there are five sources: The setting sun. The ambient light from the fire. The street light heading down the hillside. The delicate glow of the frost on the ground.
The distant lights coming on in the homes across the valley.
